| "An unsuspecting girl rents an old house that
takes possession of her mind. When her sister and brother-in-law find
her transformed into a smoking, drinking, chainsaw wielding seductress,
they call in a priest and a local pizza delivery boy to wage war
against the demons of hell!"
-description of a movie I just purchased called "Teenage Exorcist"

| Taking a much deserved Saturday off. I love the work we're doing, but it is very intense. Must put the chill meter up on full this weekend.

| Making videos with Inuit youth in Northern Labrador. The project is called "Video Schmideo." We've been to 3 communities, with 4 more left before we come back home and compile the big DVD, which will be a compilation of the independent film efforts of youth from 7 communities.
I love this project, and I feel a little spoiled by it. There is nothing I don't like about it. Our client, the Nunatsiavut Government, really hit on a winner here. This is an amazing project. The youth love it, we love it, everybody who sees it loves it, and it's good for everybody, all round.
Couldn't possibly ask for a better Spring project. Getting loads of directing and editing experience. Having almost too much fun. Getting pretty good with mac software.
Doing a bit of advertisement. We've got a spot waiting for us in the Creative Arts Festival in November, and pending some parental release forms, we might even do some major television spots, and a web release.
I want to write and pitch my television series before too long, but work is really involved right now. I've got the episode concepts worked out for a 22 episode season, but I need to change a few central themes, and work on a few character problems. All my writing energy right now is going into the scripts for these videos.
You know, another great thing about this video project, is that it means I'm going to reach my goal of producing a movie before I turn 30 (which is this July). It's cutting it close, and it's not feature length, but hey, we do what we can, and I'm damn proud of the work we're doing.
Side project profiling coastal health occupations that are not well known. Some backfill with CBC. Shaping up to be a good year for work.
Later this year, maybe in summer or late fall, I'm going to revamp Purification, my horror movie.
That's most of my news. All work related. Sorry, work is life right now.
